The Healing Journey Project

Renewal and Transformation Through Kung Fu

White Sash Clip Add Video

After 4 months of practice ....

At 1 minute 25 seconds into the video you'll see what was the bane of my existence at the beginning of my training, the Dok Lok Ma.  At 1:39 it becomes clear why.  I remember that the two things I was most concerned about going into this test were my balance and my memory.  The Dok Lok Ma in essence represents my Everest at the time because it is one of the last stances of Ng Lung Ma, the first form I learned in Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu and it was especially challenging to my vestibular function.
